Clara T. Records' Obituary
Mrs. Clara T. Records, age 89, of Bridgeville, DE passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Seaford Genesis Nursing Home (Seaford Center), where she had been a patient for a short time. She was born and raised in Easton, MD, the daughter of the late Paul Thom and Agnes (Fisher) Thom.
Clara graduated from Easton High school in 1943. She worked for J. McKinney Willis in Easton until she married her husband, the late Harley F. Records, Jr., and moved to Bridgeville, DE in 1954. She worked for Southern States mill in Seaford from 1954, until the birth of her son. She returned to work at the Baltimore Trust bank in Bridgeville from 1976 until her retirement in 1989.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. In retirement, Clara joined the Bridgeville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Union United Methodist Church since moving to Bridgeville. She enjoyed exercising and participating at the Cheer center in Georgetown, DE and enjoyed playing dominos with a group of close friends.
She is survived by her son, Michael Records and daughter-in-law, Christina, grandchildren: Caitlin, Jordan and Rachel; and several special nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE 19933, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will follow services at Bridgeville Cemetery.
