I am so sad to hear about this, Chris.
He was my body guard growing up. Whether he was walking me the mile to my house from the Clifton bus stop through the woods, tinkering on my struggling firebird, terrifying me on the back of dirt bikes and motorcycles, or threatening to beat up any boy who was mean to me, I always knew I had a great buddy I could count on. Though many people thought he was tough, he was truly a teddy bear on the inside. I’ll always remember our hangouts upstairs in the barn, playing basketball at Clifton park and his unique and distinctive laugh. Too many years have gone by since we last caught up and I’m sad that I wont be able to hear that gruff, “J9. What. Are. You. Doing!” ever again. Life is too short and friends are truly priceless and irreplaceable. I hope you are at peace, my old friend.
