Christopher David Brierley's Obituary
Christopher David Brierley, age 38, died suddenly on Friday, June 24, 2011. Chris lived in Rehoboth Beach, DE with his family.
Chris is survived by his parents; Janice and Donald Brierley, of Rehoboth Beach, his sister and brother-in-law; Jennifer Kline and Wayne Kline, his 3 year old niece, Ellen Katherine Kline, and his 1 year old nephew, Ryan Christopher Kline. Chris is survived by his maternal aunt and uncle; Ginny and Ray Falgowski of Lewes, Delaware, his cousins; Craig, Neil, and Phil Falgowski, his paternal aunts and uncles; William Brierley and Sheila Vance, Melba Hill, Dorothy and Carl Wilson, Jack and Reitha Brierley, Alberta Timko, and Robert and Loreen Brierley.
Chris grew up in Newport, DE on Augustine Street with his parents and "Sis". At an early age, Chris was interested in cars, technology and helping his father with wood-working, repairs and home improvements. Chris was best known for his easy-going, gentle nature. Chris graduated from St. Mark's High School and later Wilmington University. He received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Internet Networking and Design and was working toward his Master's of Science degree in Information Systems Technology.
Chris worked for Verizon Wireless for 14 years and most recently, as a network inventory coordinator. Chris had a talent of technical skills, light-heartedness and a warm personality. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and the warmth of the many long-term friendships he made over the years. Chris had favorite past times and interests - computers, photography, snowboarding, cars and reading.
Chris had a close relationship with his family and enjoyed his young niece and nephew. He appreciated the gift of family, and the security and comfort it brought. Chris had a gentle kindness and was always willing to lend a hand to help others.
Chris had a good sense of humor and sense of "simplicity" that he shared with us. Chris touched our lives in so many ways - he will be missed dearly and his memory cherished always.
Private memorial services will be held.
