Christine DiSisto's Obituary
Christine DiSisto, age 74 of Millsboro, DE passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. She was born on May 19, 1948, in Mount Kisco, NY, daughter of the late William and Antoinette (Piazza) Babon.
Mrs. DiSisto graduated Brewster High School in Brewster, New York, and continued her studies at Western Connecticut State University, obtaining a bachelor's degree in education. She married Federico DiSisto on July 27, 1985, in Stormville, New York and they resided there until moving to Delaware in 2017. Mrs. DiSisto enjoyed a lifelong career as a teacher for Carmel Central Schools in New York, retiring after 30 + dedicated years.
She had many interests and hobbies. Mrs. DiSisto enjoyed shopping and was an avid reader. She had many friends in many places and loved playing Words with Friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved spoiling them. Above all, Mrs. DiSisto treasured time spent with those who meant the most to her. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, stepmother, and grandmother. Loved by many, she will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. DiSisto was predeceased by her stepdaughter, Patricia Hauth. She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Federico DiSisto; her children: Mark Brewer, and Melissa Roberts; her stepdaughters: Gina Grimmer and Cindy Disisto; her grandchildren: Alyssa and Dennis Moorehead, Nicolas Hauth, Kaia and Quentin Roberts, Arwen Scarlata and Maisie Brewer; and her brother, Edward Babon.
Memorial service in Delaware will be held on Friday, Dec 16 , from 12:00 PM until 4 :00 PM, at the Independence Clubhouse Ballroom ,30174 Ethan Allen Ct, Millsboro, DE. .Services in New York will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Ave, Brewster, NY, and Monday, December 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St Lawrence O'Toole Church ,31 Prospect St, Brewster, NY.
