Charlotte Brown Turner's Obituary
Charlotte Brown Turner, age 86, of Ocean View, DE, formerly of Washington, DC, died Friday, May 22, 2009, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE as a result of a stroke.
Charlotte was raised in Washington, DC and attended W. Wilson High School and after graduation studied at Stetson University, FL. She then worked for the Southern Railway Co. prior to her marriage to Warren B. Turner. The couple raised two sons, Kenneth of the Whites Creek, DE community and Michael of Mammoth Lake, CA, before retiring at Whites Creek.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Warren B. Turner; her two sons; and a sister Kathryn B. Kunkel.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 29, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., at Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church, 81 Central Ave., Ocean View, DE. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Clarksville, DE (www.parsellfuneralhomes.com).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of choice or to Mariner's Bethel United Methodist Church at the address noted above.
