Charles Wilson's Obituary
Charles R. Wilson, age 78, of Milton, DE died Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Wilson was born March 29, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA son of the late Russell & Clara (Loynd) Wilson.
Mr. Wilson retired after teaching health and physical education for 31 years in the Bridgeton High School and the Lower Cape May Regional High School systems. He was the former Athletic Director for Lower Cape May Regional High School and Past President of the Cape Atlantic League. He was also a member of the South Jersey Coaches Association and New Jersey Track Officials. And, for over 50 years he was a Past Master and member of the Masonic Lodge, Evening Star Lodge 97, Bridgeton, NJ. Mr. Wilson served in the Army Air Corps during WW II.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife Helen E. (Porch) Wilson; a daughter, Pamela G. Beckman & husband Chris of Rehoboth Beach, DE; two sons, Steven C. Wilson & companion Doreen DiCarlo of Cape May, NJ, and Charles P. Wilson of Milton, DE; two grandchildren, Christine Beckman of Rehoboth Beach and Daniel Wilson of NJ; three great-grandchildren; a sister Janet C. Ortolf of Vero Beach, FL; and a brother Richard A. Wilson & wife Carol J. of Hockessin, DE.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2005, 3 PM at Lewes Presbyterian Church, 133 Kings Highway, Lewes. Interment will follow in the Churchyard Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, October 2, 7-9 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes where Masonic Services will begin at 7:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lewes Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 616, Lewes, DE 19958.
