Charles F. Willner's Obituary
Charles F. Willner, Jr., 78, of Frankford, DE passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, DE. He was born in Baltimore, MD on July 10, 1935, son of the late Charles F. Willner Sr. and Mary (Carberry) Willner.
Mr. Willner was raised in Baltimore City and served in the US Army. He was jack of all trades which led to the forming of his own business. He thoroughly enjoyed providing home improvements for a vast number of people. He took pride in his workmanship but the happiness that could be seen on his clients faces, when completed, meant the world to him.
Mr. Willner was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed an opportunity to root them on to victory. He enjoyed surf fishing and having good times on the beach. When the fish weren’t biting, he could be found sitting on his front porch having conversations with all who passed by.
Mr. Willner was preceded in death by his daughter, JoAnn Willner and step son Roger Detamore. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Frances (Nelson) Willner, sister Peggy DeFrances of Glen Burnie.3 sons: Brian Willner of Glen Burnie, Wayne Willner and wife Sunny Mae of Brooklyn Park, Glenn Willner and wife Kimberly of Glen Burnie. Step son Donald Detamore of Arbutus, step daughter Cindy Pease and husband Larry of Arbutus, 2 nieces, Pam Fleagle and Kathy Metcalf, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
