Charles H. Pyle's Obituary
Charles H. Pyle, Sr., age 91 of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 22, 2010 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
Born Sunday, January 27, 1918 in Wilmington, DE he was the son of the late Robert E. and M. Frances (Price) Pyle. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine E. (Roberts) Pyle who died in 2002, two brothers, James Edward Pyle and Robert E. Pyle, Sr. and one sister, Mary Frances Pyle.
Charles was a life member and 32 degree Mason for 40 years in the Oriental Lodge #27 AF&M, Delaware Consistory, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, the American Numismatic Association of Colorado Springs, CO, U.S. Naval Institute, Annapolis, MD, American Legion Post #5, and Kiwanis Club, both of Rehoboth Beach, DE.
He was in the Navy from 1936 to 1940 then 1945 to 1946, as a Machinist Second Class and retired from Sun Oil Company in 1977 after 37 years in the Mechanical Dept as a General Foreman. He was also a member of Epworth United Methodist Church of Rehoboth.
Surviving is one daughter, Judy Kucharski and her husband Albert of Rehoboth Beach, DE two sons, James L. Pyle and his wife Sharon of Wilmington and Charles H. Pyle, Jr of Baltimore, MD, 6 grand children, 9 great grand children, one brother, Robert E. Pyle, Jr and wife Bessie of Wilmington and one sister, Mary Jane Young of Wilmington.

Friends are welcomed on TUESDAY, January 26, 2010 from 9:00AM to 10:30 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes,
A Memorial Service will be held on TUESDAY, January 26, 2010 at 12:00 noon at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth, with his pastor, the Rev. Dr. Jonathan Baker Officiating.
Interment will be on WEDNESDAY, January 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Chester Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, 2619 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE with Masonic Services at the graveside.
