Charles Edward Jordan Jr.'s Obituary
Charles Edward Jordan, Jr., age 83, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026.
Born on June 13, 1943, in Columbus, Mississippi, Charles was the beloved son of the late Charles Edward Jordan, Sr. and Loretta Francis Jordan.
Charles spent most of his life in Wilmington, Delaware, before fulfilling a lifelong dream of moving to the Delaware beach area in 2021. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Following his military service, he earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Utah State University.
Together with his beloved wife, Kathryn, Charles owned and operated Jordan Marketing for 35 years, building not only a successful business but also lasting relationships with clients and friends.
Charles had a passion for photography and art, especially capturing the beauty of birds through his camera lens. He took great pride in photographing, framing, and sharing his work with others. An active man throughout his life, he also enjoyed bike riding and spending time outdoors.
Known for his warm personality, Charles was a great storyteller with a fun sense of humor. He loved making people laugh, sharing stories, and connecting with everyone he met. His kindness, outgoing nature, and genuine interest in others drew people to him and left lasting impressions on countless lives.
Charles was deeply committed to helping others. As a dedicated sponsor in Alcoholics Anonymous and an active volunteer at the Lewes Senior Center, he generously shared his time and compassion with those around him.
He is survived by his children, Andrea Gottier, Joseph Jordan (Julie), and Jeffrey Jordan; his sisters, Loretta Parkhill and Mary Ann Jordan; his grandchildren, Korrin, Josh, Joey, Kennedy Jordan, Amanda and Joshua Lofland, Alison Bailey; several great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathryn Jordan; his sister, Kathleen Jordan; and his brother, Joseph Jordan.
Charles will be remembered for his generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, Delaware at 3:00 pm. Visitation with the family will begin at 2:00 pm.
