Jeff and Whitney,
Charley was my boss for about 5 years at Stepan. I, along with a number of other young business managers, enjoyed working for him immensely. He taught us, he lead us, he protected us, he let us do our jobs and he always listened to us. He was the best. I also have very fond memories of playing golf at Lake Bluff with Charley and other Stepan guys on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Jeff, I also remember the times you joined us for golf. I hope you had plenty of chances to enjoy golf with your dad in his retirement. My condolences on his passing.
