Charlie is the fourth brother and seventh child in the Gengenbach Family.....Granny and Pa loved him like he was their own.
He belonged to all of us.
You are a lucky person if you knew Charlie Bauer!

RIP. Currahee.
My deepest condolences to the Bauer family. Since I knew him at a young age, I remember him as Mr. Bauer and he left an impression on me as a great leader and father. He lived an incredible life and has left a great legacy. May God bless his soul and grant peace to his family and friends.
What an amazing man and role model. God bless.
I served with Col. Bauer, "Bushmaster", in Vietnam as one of his radio operators. Reading his obituary explained a lot about his character. None of us that served with him knew of his background as an orphan. He capitalized on his past by being the fine officer and gentleman he became. Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences.
Sincerely,
Chuck Thomason
Charlie was the finest gentleman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I will miss his support, generosity, and wisdom. My love to Edna and family.
Loving you Edna and family we will always remember Charlie and the great time we had at our house after church. Many hearts of prayers go out to you.
