Charles Ray's Obituary
Charles Thomas Ray of Milton DE died on Oct 13, 2005 in his home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Ray was born on Dec 26, 1929 in Melrose MA, son of the late Ralph and Eunice Ray. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Cynthia (Hilton) Ray, four children, Charlene, Barbara, Charles A. and Donna; 16
grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
During a distinguished career of 45 years he worked at MIT with the team developing the first printed circuit boards. He served in the Coast Guard during the Korean War and was awarded the Queen of England's pin for his advancements in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards. He retired from Orbital Science (formally Fairchild Industries) in 1991. Upon retirement he enjoyed traveling the United States for seven years with his wife Cindy in their motor home. They settled in Milton DE in 2000.
He was a devoted husband and father who gave all he had to the people in his life. A truly great man who will always be missed and never forgotten.
