Catherine Irene Walls' Obituary
Catherine Irene "Cathy" Walls, 64, of Georgetown, Delaware passed away at her home unexpectedly Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Born on December 13, 1961, in Lewes, Delaware, Cathy was the daughter of the late Warren M. Walls and Mary S. Walls. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jonathan Warren Walraven.
Cathy dedicated her life to serving others with compassion, kindness, and unwavering faith. She attended Lewes Christian Academy and later Bob Jones University. Throughout her career, Cathy worked as a teacher at Heritage Christian Academy in Antioch California and Christian School of York, PA before continuing her calling of caring for others through her work with BayHealth and Beebe Medical Center. She was especially passionate about patient advocacy and helping those in need.
Cathy’s faith in Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Georgetown, Delaware where she served on the mission's team. Cathy also loved teaching Sunday School, AWANA and numerous other church ministries. She found great joy in teaching others, sharing her faith, and supporting missionary work around the world.
Cathy will be remembered for her servant's heart, her deep love for her family, and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose kindness and strength touched countless lives.
Cathy is survived by her son, Joshua Walls (Jonah), her daughter Joy Lewis (John) and her cherished grandchildren, Lily Lewis, Adelynn Walls, Wesley Walls, and Adam Walls as well as her sister Cindy Plummer (Bruce) and brother Jonathan Walls (Tonya).
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium – Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 N. Bedford St., Georgetown, DE 19947, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be held privately.

Though her earthly journey has ended, Cathy's legacy of faith, love, service and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
