Catherine Quinn Moran's Obituary
Catherine Q. Moran, age 88 of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 20, 1929, in Kensington, MD, daughter of the late Ralph Edwards and Molly Edwards-Simpson.
Catherine and her late husband, Edgar, moved to Lewes, DE in 1997. She was a one of a kind, unique, strong willed woman who had a beautiful heart. She enjoyed spending time with her large loving family. In her spare time she liked to go bowling, playing cards and wining (occasionally) at the Delaware Casinos for many years. Catherine was also a member of the Red Hat Society, Chapter 42793 and the Conley's United Methodist Church in Lewes. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
Catherine is survived by her four daughters and their spouses: Beverly and Jim Annadale of Harwood, MD, Priscilla and Wes Milstead of Millsboro, DE Sharon and Cliff Litchenberg of Milton, DE, Patricia and Jimmer Demers of Annapolis, MD and her one son, Melvin Quinn of Owings, MD; her eleven grandchildren: Mark (Selene) Annadale Melinda (Ken) Thomas, Tom (Trish) Shahady, Joe (Carrie) Shahady, Greg (Jessica) Shahady, Brian Gunn, Troy (Katie) Demers, Ryan (Ashlie) Demers, Chris (Laura) Quinn, Justin Quinn and David (Megan) Quinn; and her 16 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Conley's United Methodist Church, 33106 Jolyns Way, Lewes, DE 19958.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Catherine's name be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 20165 Office Circle, Suite 2, Georgetown, DE 19947.
