Although I have not had the privilege of meeting your grandmother in person, I can see from her photo that she is a sweet but a strong lady. To make it here in those difficult times, just shows how strong she really was. I know you spoke so dearly about her in our conversation and that you are close. I pray for your peace and hers. I will always remember Baba Catherine’s warm smile and ready kiss and giggle and her saying, “I love you, too!” She was always so glad to be at church and was a prayer warrior. Remember the time you came to Chambersburg with us and I got sick? She came into my room so quietly and gently to check on me. She was just pure love! Words cannot convey all the feelings and emotions that surround the memories I have of your Mom. The sweetest voice and the immediate smile that lit up her face whenever I came around her from the time we were teenagers until a few months ago when we were all together. She never ran out of kisses or hugs or kind words and always said “ I love you” 😘 . You were an amazing daughter and caregiver for your Mom and always had her best interests at heart. She could not have asked for a better daughter and son-in-law that she had in you and Bill. She was truly blessed as were all of us that had the privilege of knowing her. I am truly sorry for your loss. Your mother meant the world to me. I can remember the first time I met your parents down on their farm in Princess Ann. They made me welcome in their home...no, they made me feel as though I was part of the family. And that never wavered, even after your father passed, your mother continued to show warmth and love every time we came to your home. Your mother was very special and there will always be a place in my heart for her.
