I will never forget the bond we developed thru tracking down our family. You are my cousin and my friend, cannot believe you are gone. So many adventures tracking thru graveyards, with you admonishing me ..DONT step on that grave......words from cousin Herman, your daddy. Sneaking in old houses, and the archives, where you being the brains working ....sticking to the search. Me floating around grabbing and bringing you anything with the name HUDSON or Shockley! So you were the tick, and I the BUTTERFLY! You put up with our different styles, and still loved me and I you.....there will never be another you. And a book of knowledge , irreplaceable is gone from the library. I love you girl, and agree with Joey, who cared so much for you ..HUGE HUDSON HEAVENLY REUNION going on........
I met Cathy at the Nabb Center at SU several years ago. She always had a smile and a good word whenever I would see her. When she learned I had a 3 yr old grandson she told me all about the train show in Delmar, tips on how to make it more enjoyable for him and us as well. Seeing her sitting in the corner of the small food area there, she was like a Queen, people were standing in line to talk to her, everyone seemed to know her. She was a kind person and will be missed. John Watke

Cathy was a wonderful woman with whom I spoke to regularly regarding ancestry. She was a wealth of knowledge. She never seemed deterred by challenging lineage and you knew that was how she lived her life, undaunted.
It was a joy to know her. I hope your memories give each of you, her family and dear friends, comfort. Cathy was truly a special lady.
