Carolyn was a wonderful person and a great journalist. What a sad loss. She was a friend and colleague. I regret I was unable to attend the memorial service; I was out of the country and only returned recently. I love her choice of a charity; I will make a contribution to the Salvation Army. Best wishes for her family and friends.

I met you once, about three weeks ago at Beebe Hospital. It was a Monday, my Golden Retriever Ani’s and my day to visit through Paws for People. You smiled and welcomed us in so that Ani could give you some comfort, which she was born to do! During that time you talked about your family, the rich life you had lead, and your acceptance of your imminent death. You were so brave, so deep, so fascinating. Thank you. I will never forget you!
