Carolyn "Cindy" J. Dec, age 80 of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, at her home. She was born on November 27, 1938 in Queens, NY, daughter of the late Charles and Hazel (Perez) Grosch.
Carolyn, originally from Massapequa, NY, relocated to Newark, DE with her family, where she lived for 10 years. For the past 8 years, she and her husband have called Lewes home. Carolyn was an executive secretary for J.P. Morgan/Chase, retiring from the bank after 19 dedicated years. She was an active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lewes. Carolyn will be remembered for her beautiful smile that could light up a room. Above all, she cherished time spent with those she held most dear. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, William of Lewes, DE; her son, Darren of Tampa, FL; her daughter, Debra, and her son-in-law, Thomas of Camden, DE; and her grandchildren: Laura, Jennifer, and Ryan, all of Camden, DE.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 2nd Street, Lewes, DE. Viewings will be held Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Interment will follow the services at St. Peter's Cemetery, Pilottown Road, Lewes, DE.
