Sorry to hear of Caroline's passing. She and my parents were good friends through the Red Cross. When ever I would see Caroline we always had a warm conversation about the good old days. She will be missed. Jim Chandler
My deepest sympathy at the loss of a truly amazing and wonderful lady. I met Mrs Short many years ago thru racquetball and my dear friend Phil Durney. Mrs. Short was always enthusiastic, kind and a great conversationalist. She made an investment in people and was authentic and kind. Mrs. Short gracefully navigated the aging process and retained her optimism and spirit well into her golfen years. I am saddened that she had to endure the loss of her son, but I am certain they are together again with the Lord. A truly remarkable person and life.
I will always remember this lovely lady here in Charlotte on Jamie’s back deck, in her eighties and diapering her newest great granddaughter, Avery , like she did it every day!

She was a beautiful person there were not too many people that didn't know her. We were friends for 50 years. Always a good time with her and Jim many of trips we went on together. Her ideas were always great and so much fun doing them. R.I.P.
