Caroline W. Loysen's Obituary
Caroline W. Loysen, age 70, of Milton, DE, formerly of Edison, NJ, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, April 12, 2010, at her residence.
Born June 21, 1939 in Danville, Il, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Winifred (Ober) Williams. She was also predeceased by one son, Matthew Loysen and one sister, Sarah Goellner.
While in New Jersey, she worked at the University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ) and taught pre-school and Sunday school. After moving to Milton four years ago, Caroline was very active in her church, St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lewes, being a choir member and just completing her training as an Episcopal Lay Minister. She was a docent for the Lewes Historical Society, an avid bridge player, an excellent baker and enjoyed traveling around the world. She was a loving person and will be sorely missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jon Loysen, two daughters, Kirsten Baer and her husband Michael of Winnetka, IL and Britt Lazelle of Lawrenceville, NJ, brothers, Bill Williams and David Williams, sisters, Susan Byron and Winifred Weldon, and grandchildren Casey and Camille Baer and Jack and Harry Lazelle.
A celebration of Caroline's life will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Second & Market Streets, Lewes, DE 19958. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
