Carole Dean King's Obituary
Carole Dean Henry King, age 83, of Harrington, DE, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Delaware Hospice Center. She was born in Nashville, TN, on Friday, May 18, 1934, daughter of the late James Coleman Henry and Maime Lillian Henry.
Carole and her late husband, Jim, owned and raced harness horses for many years throughout Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida. She worked at several of the Clubhouses during their travels and spent a number of years working at Dillards Restaurant in Greenwood and Jimmy's Grille in Bridgeville. She developed many lifelong friends and acquaintances, Carole loved her family above all else.
In addition to her parents, Carole is preceded in death by her husband, James King, Sr., daughter, Tina Bevans, son Mark King, Sr., and her granddaughter, Amber Iverson. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Oates; her sons, James (Jim) King, Jr. (JoAnn) and Wayne King (Pam); her daughter-in-law, Tammy King; her grandchildren: Alex Baker (Missy), Angela Jester (James), Susan Looney, Heather Vitale, Bryan Plante (Britney), Allie King, Lacey Bevans, Robert (BJ) Valdesere (Heather) and Mark King, Jr.; her great grandchildren: Justin Sammons, Chase Coursey, Dylan Sammons, Trey Moffit, Wyatt Beaver, Kingston Plante, Arianna Matthews, Nathaniel Bender, Kenneth Iverson, Shaylee Iverson, Shyanne Allbee, Gaven Allbee and Bobbi Valdesere; and her very dear friend, Pam Haass along with many other friends who will dearly miss her.
A remembrance gathering will be held Thursday March 22nd at Jimmy's Grille Banquet Hall between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.. Friends are invited to attend for a time of sharing food and memories of Carole with her Family.
