Belated news of Carole's passing saddens me greatly. We went to law school together and is remembered as a truly beautiful person. (BTW she worked for Gaylord Nelson, not William Proxmire.)

carol was truthful, exacting, and extremely dedicated and hard working. i know this as she was my law clerk for several years, after which i was her boss for almost a decade. her achievements of graduating georgetown law school and passing the delaware bar later in life after her career with senator proxmire indicate how exceptional and focused she was. i will miss chatting with her as i did every so often, and my sympathies go to lionel and her family.
