Carol Kirkpatrick's Obituary
Carol (Thompson) Kirkpatrick, age 63, of Milton, DE passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 25, 2006, at Christiana Medical Center in Wilmington, DE. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born May 19, 1942 in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Francis E. and Ruth Edna (Burns) Thompson.
Carol graduated from the University of Delaware in 1964. She was a French teacher at William Penn High School, New Castle, and at Seaford High School, Seaford, DE. She taught for 28 years retiring in 1991. Carol was one of the founders and a member of the William Penn Teachers Book Club for 25 years. She also enjoyed travelling with her husband.
Mrs. Kirkpatrick is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Timothy A. Kirkpatrick; her sister Frances T. McKenna and her husband John of North Wilmington; her niece Tamara Cook and her son David Cook, Jr., both of North Wilmington.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 1, 1-3 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Interment will be private.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Autism Society of Delaware, 5572 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
