Carol Ann Gilliam's Obituary
Carol Ann Gilliam age 61 of Lewes, DE passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at her home. She was born on October 7, 1959, in Cheverly, MD, daughter of the late Walter Harkleroad and Nancy (Walker) Morris.
Carol graduated from Fairmont Heights High School in 1976. She had a lifelong interest in science, particularly the medical field, where she continually pursued a higher education and became an EMT. She was a dog lover and beach goer who enjoyed fishing, arts and crafts, and playing games. Above all, Carol loved spending time with those she held most dear, especially her children and grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by Frank Morris. She is survived by her children: Larry Gilliam (Gabby), of North Potomac, MD, Laura Duperre (James) of Huntingtown, MD, and Steven Gilliam (Christina), of Springfield, VA; her grandchildren: Oskar Gilliam, of North Potomac, MD, SJ Gilliam, of Springfield, VA, Xavier Duperre, of Huntingtown, MD, Blake Gilliam, of Springfield, VA, and Parker Gilliam, of Springfield, VA.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 1:00 PM, at Chesapeake Church, 6201 Solomons Island Rd, Huntingtown, MD 20639. Feel free to join the family in celebrating her life. Friends and family are welcome to join after the service at O'Gannigans Irish Pub, 98 Solomons Island Rd, S. Prince Frederick, MD 20678 for an informal gathering.
