Carol Ann Connaway's Obituary
Carol Ann (Barker) Connaway, age 60, of Lewes, DE died suddenly on Sunday, March 4, 2007, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. Mrs. Connaway was born March 15, 1946 in Lewes, daughter of William Barker of Lewes and the late Edna Mae (Dickerson) Barker.
Mrs. Connaway was a member of the Class of 1964, Lewes High School. She proudly stated that she was a Lewes native. Carol Ann was a former member of the Lewes Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance service and a current member of the Lewes Yacht Club. She enjoyed being around the water and was an avid reader. Mrs. Connaway had worked 17 years for the Beebe Medical Center retiring in 1998 as supervisor of communications. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and thoroughly enjoyed life.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Dickson. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Elberon T. "Tim" Connaway; two daughters, Wendy Wall and her husband Bart of Lewes and Terri Lynn Cooke and her husband Bob of Dover, DE; three step-sons, Elberon Connaway III of Vermont, Christopher B. Connaway and Shawn M. Connaway and his wife Cindy, both of Wrightsville Beach, NC; six grandchildren, Judson Wall, Timothy Wall, Robert Cooke, Ty Connaway, Hannah Connaway and Jacob Connaway.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 10, 4 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where the family will receive friends starting at 3:00 PM; interment will be private.
