Carla G. Tucker, age 84 of Bridgeville, DE, passed away at home on Sunday, June 23, 2024. She was born on November 28, 1939, in Cape May, NJ, daughter of the late Elkton Starr and Edna (Taylor) Gerhard.
Mrs. Tucker's life was dedicated to raising her children and taking care of her family. A nurturing homemaker, she raised her 8 children with a love so fierce, it became her defining legacy and her life harmonized around the happiness and well-being of her family above all else. Mrs. Tucker loved all forms of art and taking care of animals. She was a shining light in the lives of so many and her smile, and presence will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have had her in their lives.
Mrs. Tucker was predeceased by 2 children. She is survived by her children: Edna Tucker of Greenwood, DE, Brenda Burton (Joe) of Bridgeville, DE, Carla Breck of Bridgeville, DE, Alverta "Butch" Tucker (Brenda) of Georgetown, DE. Elglenn "Buster" Tucker of Huntsville, AL, and Tressa Tucker of Greenwood, DE; her 15 grandchildren; her 27 great grandchildren; her 7 great great grandchildren; her brother, Elkton S. Gerhard, Jr. of Grand Bay, AL.
