Can M Bentley's Obituary
Can M. Bentley , age 85, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Delaware Hospice Center of Milford. He was born in Payne Gape, KY, on Friday, May 27, 1927, son of the late Dolph and Hanna (Yonts) Bentley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene G. Bentley, one great grandson, James David Brakefield, IV and was the last of nine children.
Mr. Bentley moved to Delaware 30 years ago from Baltimore, MD, where he retired as a building engineer for the Investment Building in Towson, MD and later worked as an engineer for Townsend Chicken in DE.
Mr. Bentley enjoyed bowling, his beloved dog," Molly" and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two daughters; Darlene Barbara Nason of Pawtucket, RI and Sharon A. Graber and her husband, George of Rehoboth Beach, DE, one son; Paul D. Bentley and his wife Cathy of NC, four grandchildren, Nicole Marie Nason of RI, James David Brakefield, III of Baltimore, MD, Paul Madison Brakefield of Towson, MD, Brittany Megan Bentley of Baltimore, MD and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958 on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM A Graveside Service will be follow at 11:30 AM St. Peter Cemetery, Pilottown Road, Lewes, DE.
