Camilla Lee Woodall's Obituary
Camilla Lee Woodall-Roney age 77 of Lewes passed away surrounded by her family on Friday August 6, 2010 in Philadelphia, PA. Lee was born in Mica, VA, on November 12, 1932. Survived by her husband of 22 years Michael Roney; her 7 children: Lynn Smith of Elkton, MD, Cora Malatesta of Indian Rocks, FL, Wesley Woodall of Georgetown, KY, Leslie Hagerman of Elkton, MD, Susan Price of Austin, AR, and Catherine "Kitty" Woodall of Clayton, DE; 15 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat Lady. She was preceded by her first husband Wesley Woodall and daughter Claudia Woodall.
After graduating high school Lee raised her seven children, and she worked as a waitress for fifty years in the profession she loved. After her retirement she fulfilled a lifelong dream of living by the ocean with her husband and best friend Mike. She loved spending time at the beach with her family and friends. Lee will be most remembered for her genuine love and concern for others. She was a strong and independent woman, who was always willing to help others in their time of need. Lee will always be remembered for her upbeat attitude, love for life and people; and her smiling face. She loved doing puzzles, crocheting, was an avid reader and was always putting her children on "The list". Lee was a friend of Bill's for 33 years and was an avid supporter of and Volunteer at the Beebe Medical Center.
Memorial services will be on Thursday August 12, 2010 at 7 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, her family would like contributions to be made in her memory to the Beebe Medical Foundation, 902 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
