Brice James McLane's Obituary
Brice James McLane Jr. age 58 of Lewes, DE, died suddenly on Wednesday, January 05, 2011, at his residence. He was born in Wilmington, DE, on Saturday, January 12, 1952 in Wilmington, DE.
He graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree and served in the US Army during Vietnam.
He was the owner/operator of the Shamrock Taxi Company of Rehoboth beach and loved traveling internationally, deep sea fishing, genealogy and cherished his Irish citizenship that he received through his grandparents.
He is survived by his parents: Brice J., Sr. and Agnes (Desmond) McLane, one daughter: Molly Frankel and husband Neil of Boca Raton, FL, three brothers: Mark D. McLane and wife Kathryn of Naples, FL, Kevin R. McLane of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Jeffery D. McLane and wife Carolyn, Lewes, DE; six nieces and nephews.
A Catholic Blessing Service will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at 9:15 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. The family will greet friends at the funeral home at 8:15 AM. Interment will follow, at 11:00 AM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Brice’s name to St. Vincent dePaul Society, c/o St. Jude the Apostle Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958
