Brian Stuart North's Obituary
Brian Stuart North
November 6th, 1951 – April 6, 2026
Brian Stuart North of Lewes, Delaware passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2026.
Brian’s kind and calm presence brought ease and joy to those who knew him. A man of faith, he exuded a tranquil understanding of what truly mattered and faced his life with a smile. An avid history reader, rock music enthusiast, and baseball fan with a dry sense of humor, Brian would equally enjoy sharing Churchill quotes, his favorite Eric Clapton solo or Yogi Berra quip.
A loving husband, steadfast father, and gentle grandfather, Brian is survived by his loving family: his wife of fifty years, Pamela; his children, Alison (with partner Brooke), Ryan (with wife Diana) and Chris (with partner Brie); and his grandchildren Colin, Claire, Callie, Harper, and Evelyn.
Brian’s impressive legal career spanned five decades, most recently at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney as a Shareholder and Co-Chair of the Securities and SEC Practice Group in Philadelphia. Brian has been named Philadelphia "Lawyer of the Year" for Securities/Capital Markets Law. He was also a member of the Federal Regulation of Securities Committee and the former Chair of the Annual Review of Federal Securities Regulation published in The Business Lawyer. Brian was a past President and a volunteer attorney with the Homeless Advocacy Project in Philadelphia and on the board of The Overfalls Foundation in Lewes.
