Brenda Lynn Stewart's Obituary
Brenda Lynn Stewart, age 58 of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was a lifelong resident of Lewes, daughter of the late William E. Fisher and Betty (Quigley) Fisher of Jacksonville, FL.
Brenda loved the outdoors, especially times spent at Cape Henlopen State Park observing and photographing deer. She particularly enjoyed her time spent at the beach and fishing with family and friends. Brenda also loved a good game of pinochle. Brenda was the family Matriarch who placed everyone ahead of herself; her grandchildren were the love of her life.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son Michael Stewart of Lewes; her daughter Amber Heck and husband Jason of Rehoboth Beach, DE; four grandchildren: Heather Stewart Schrock, Giana Augustinos, Haley Schrock and Christopher Heck; two sisters: Diane Sheril of Jacksonville, FL and Linda Joseph and husband Ronald of Seaford, DE; two dear friends: Mandy McLaughlin and Steve Dennison; and her three pets: Buster, Kyla and Kitty. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers: William E. Fisher, Jr. (2004) and Bruce Allen Fisher (2007).
Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Groome United Methodist Church, Savannah Road and Dewey Avenue, Lewes, DE. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Safe Haven Animal Shelter as Brenda loved animals. The address is: PO Box 430, Nassau, DE 19969.
