Brenda J. Smith's Obituary
Brenda J. Smith, age 65 of Seaford, DE, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. She was born in Milford, DE, on April 2, 1953, daughter of Russell T. Joseph and Barbara J. Roosa.
Ms. Smith was a registered nurse at Nanticoke Gastroenterology for over 10 years and from which she retired in 2017. She was also an ICU nurse for Nanticoke Memorial Hospital and a Med Surg, GI, and dialysis nurse for BMA. Ms. Smith was a proud US Air Force Veteran, having served for nearly 7 years; her last station as an X-ray Tech in Germany. She loved her pool, planting and caring for her flowers. Her must-haves were McDonald's sweet tea and Sonic's watermelon slushies. Above all, Ms. Smith cherished the time spent with her beloved family. She was a loving and devoted partner, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Ms. Smith is survived by her partner of 30 years, Linda Brenneman of Seaford, DE; her parents: Russell Joseph and his wife Kitty, and Barbara Brown and her husband Keast; her sons: Gary Vincent Smith and his wife Jessica R. Bennett of Seaford, DE, and Timothy Andrew Smith of Milford, DE; her grandchildren: Katlyn Smith and her partner Dylan Lister, Adrianne, Brianne, Gary Vincent and Claire Smith; her two step-grandchildren: BJ and Ethan Bennett; her brothers: Roger Joseph and his wife Maria, and Rick Goodale; her nieces and nephews: Eden Joseph Donahue, Jessica Goodale, Tara Goodale, Dustin Joseph and Michael Joseph; and her beloved cats: Charlie, Camo, Jack and Sassy.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE, where friends may call beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
