Brenda Marlene Robertson's Obituary
Brenda Robertson passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025. Born on February 15, 1944, in Roanoke, Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of Carolyn June Lynch and Shirley Dawson Robertson.
Brenda’s early life was shaped by the strength and independence she carried throughout her years. Following her parents’ divorce, she became a proud older sister to her half-siblings: Cindy Callahan, Sandy Moore, and the late Mark Robertson. She was a loving aunt to Cassie Moore Linley, Haley Robertson, and Ronnie Brooks, and took joy in the next generation—Cassie’s daughter, Casey, and Ronnie’s son, Miles.
For the past 27 years, Brenda shared her life with her devoted spouse and soulmate, Caroline Huff. Together, they built a life rich with love, laughter, and adventure—traveling the world with dear friends and ultimately settling in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware in 2013 after many years in Dunkirk, Maryland.
Brenda dedicated her professional life to helping others. She earned her bachelor’s degree in counseling from The College of William & Mary and a master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. For 28 years, she served as a compassionate and respected counselor at St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland.
Beyond her career, Brenda was a passionate advocate for survivors of sexual assault. She co-founded one of the first sexual assault centers in Anne Arundel County—an achievement that would inspire the development of similar programs across the country, where she lent her expertise and dedication to support others in creating safe, healing spaces.
Brenda's life will be honored in a private gathering at a later date.
