Brenda Kay Monaco's Obituary
Brenda K. Lambert Monaco, 71, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bluefield, Virginia, on September 14 1953, to Pauline and Frank Lambert, Brenda lived a life full of strength, creativity, and compassion.
Brenda earned an associate degree and moved to Delaware over thirty years ago, where she raised her children with remarkable dedication and love as a single mother. She later shared her life with her beloved husband of 17 years, Jeffrey Monaco of Lewes, Delaware.
Brenda had a deep love for animals, especially cats, many of whom she rescued and cared for over the years. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, including beach outings with her children, crabbing, and fishing. Her passion for cooking led her to create countless new recipes, which she delighted in making with Jeffrey.
Professionally, Brenda spent her career in real estate, working as a real estate appraiser. She was also a gifted and creative soul, expressing herself through art and various artistic projects.
Brenda's warm spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Monaco; her stepchildren Brandon Monaco and Sean Monaco of York, Pennsylvania; her son Matthew Hoopes and daughter-in-law Jenny Hoopes of Lincoln, Delaware; her grandson Jackson Hoopes; her daughter Mandie Stevenson and son-in-law Joshua Stevenson of Milton, Delaware; and her grandchildren Taylor Cirillo of Frankford, Emily Stadler of Milton, and Kaleb Nienhueser of Milton.
