Brian Mcenany
We are so sorry to hear of Brad’s passing. He was a major element in Erin and Brad Jr's family and we saw him often after he lived with them. Our favorite memory of Brad occurred soon after Erin and Brad Jr became engaged. Brad and Carol met us for the first time at the Olive Garden at Tysons Corner to talk about the upcoming marriage. Erin and Brad Jr instructed us to keep the date and time a secret. No one was to know until the actual day. Brad Sr leaned over and said to us, “I guess this counts as the Bachelor’s Party!” He visited with us several times at various holidays. I have spoken with him about family history and tried to help find information about the part his uncles played in WWII. He mentioned that he had a lot of information in binders. We see some of that information in his obit. His love of sailing passed down to Brad Jr who is very involved with races near Annapolis. He was a good man who cared deeply about his family. There is part of a verse in the West Point Alma Mater that says it all. “…and when our work on earth is done, may it be said, “Well Done,” Be thou at peace.” We shall miss him.
