Beulah J. Cain's Obituary
Beulah J. Cain, age 86, of Greenwood, DE, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, January 20, 2010. She was born June 28, 1923 in Somerset County, PA, daughter of the late Joseph J. and Cora Ellen (Tidenberg) Callis.
Mrs. Cain was an avid homemaker who loved to cook for her family and friends. She was always a loving caregiver.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Claude H. Cain (1976); her sister Doris Zimmerman; and two brothers: Joseph Callis and Wilbur Callis. She is survived by her loving son Terry Cain of Greenwood; two grandchildren: Jessica L. Cain of Easton, MD and Christopher C. Cain of Washington, DC; a great-grandson, Cowen Somers of Easton, MD; three brothers: Dick Callis of Columbia, MD, Glen Callis of Plant City, FL and Grant Callis of Federalsburg, MD; two sisters: Theda Rixon of Sarasota, FL and Jannetta Callaway of Bridgeville, DE; a sister-in-law, Betty Callis of Tampa, FL; and a brother-in-law, Robert Cain of Milford, DE.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 23, 2:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE with Pastor Dale Brown officiating. Interment at Bloomery Cemetery, Federalsburg, MD, will follow. The family will receive friends Friday evening, January 22, 6 PM to 8 PM, at the funeral home.
