Betty M McCall's Obituary
Betty M. McCall, age 84, of Lewes, DE passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at her residence. She was born on Saturday, October 27, 1928 in Newark, DE, daughter of the late George and Mary (Pellerzi) Springer.
Mrs. McCall was a lifetime Delaware resident. She grew up in Newark until the 1960’s when she met the love of her life, Irvin, who she would wed and together they would start a family and shortly after move to Lewes, where they would call home. Mrs. McCall was a loving homemaker; she took great care of the family and was there for anything they needed. She enjoyed many things from her beloved Old Western’s especially John Wayne and more recently NCIS and Criminal Minds to whipping up one of her many delicious dishes for all to enjoy. Most of all Mrs. McCall thoroughly loved to entertain, all friends and family always looked forward to coming over for one of her great party’s where you never went hungry, your stomach hurt from laughing, and most of all your glass was never empty. Mrs. McCall was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend who will be missed by all who knew her and affectionately remembered by all as Mom and Mom-Mom Betty.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCall was preceded in death by husband of 29 years, Irvin F. McCall, Jr. in 1974. She is survived by her daughter, Nichole Bunting and her husband Richard Jr. of Lewes, DE; her sister, Jeannette Martin and her husband Joseph of Lewes, DE; her four grandchildren: Alex Hamilton, Charles Bunting, Allyssa Bunting, and Amanda Bunting; and one grand-dog whom she adored, Harley, her yellow lab.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 11:00AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy, Lewes, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00AM. Interment will immediately follow at Coolspring Presbyterian Cemetery, Lewes, DE.
