Betty Jean Riggs, age 79 of Bridgeville, De. passed away on Wednesday August 22, 2018 in her home surrounded by family. She was born in Johnson City Tn. on September 2, 1938, daughter of the late Edmond Nathan Howell and Lillie Bell Grindstaff Howell.
Ms Riggs was a former member of the Woman's Chapter 1384 Moose Of Seaford, De. She also enjoyed attending movies, however she truly enjoyed time with family and friends. She actually had two great families, her paternal family and her neighboring family. Her best friend for many years was a beagle named "Tiffy".
Her survivors include her daughters, Denise Renee Jefferson and Beverly Hope Webb with spouse
Randy Webb of Bridgeville, De; her son William Earl Riggs Jr with spouse Marie Riggs of Seaford, DE: a sister in law Marlene Howell of Pasadena, Md; and two sisters in Christ Jane Jefferson and Bridget along with spouse John of Bridgeville, De; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday 8/29 at 10:00 am. at the Parsell Funeral Home & Crematorium, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE with burial to follow in Bridgeville Cemetery.
Family and Friends may pay their respects at a viewing on Tuesday evening August 28, 2018 from 6-8 pm at the Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium,, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE.
Ms Riggs battled Breast Cancer and won but wanted to help those who are fighting so other then flowers she would like contributions made to Breast Cancer Awareness, C/O Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition Inc. 18977
