It is sad to hear of Betty's passing. When I was quite young and living in Ithaca near the George's they were like a second family to me. My mom, Ann Solomon and Betty were best friends. My dad, Jesse and Otsie were friends from childhood. I still remember Betty's delicious spaghetti and tomato sauce that would simmer with pork chops. That sauce still is one of best i ever had. Now I settle for "My Mother's Sunday Pasta" at the Venetian in Las Vegas. But I will always remember it as Betty's.

So sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed talking with Mrs. George about what we were reading. She was a regular at Atlantic books , checking out the newest best sellers. Will miss her storytelliing, her quick wit and the twinkle in her eye
