Betty "Betsy" L. Lioy's Obituary
Betty "Betsy" Lee Lioy, age 72, of Milton, DE, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was born in Newark, DE, on Saturday, January 5, 1946, daughter of the late William H. and Helen K. (Koloski) Butler.
Betsy was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. All who knew her will remember that whenever you were in her prescence, you were the number one focal point of her attention. She had the wonderful gift of grace, compassion, and love for everyone whom she met. Her smile, laughter, and the love she expressed is a gift that could have only come from the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Betsy is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas R. Lioy, Jr. of Milton, DE; her sons: John L. Fitzgerald of Georgetown, DE, William M. Fitzgerald of Millsboro, DE, and Sean T. Lioy of Milton, DE; her grandchildren: Patrick Fitzgerald of Millsboro, DE, Joshua Fitzgerald of Millsboro, DE, Sarah Wharton of Millsboro, DE, and Rebecca Fitzgerald of Millsboro, DE; and her 5 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Betsy's Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April, 21, 2018 at New Life Bible Fellowship Church: 24771 Cannon Road, Millsboro, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Betsy's memory to New Life Bible Fellowship Church: 24771 Cannon Road; Millsboro, DE 19966.
