Bernard "Bud" London's Obituary
Bernard "Bud" London, age 78 of Rehoboth Beach, DE, formerly of Millersville, MD, died Tuesday, February 19th at his home.
Born in Baltimore, MD on October 27, 1929, Mr. London was the son of the late Jack London and Frances (Miller) London. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Marvin London and sister Shirley Fritz.
He served his country in the US Army as a Corporal in WWII. In civilian life he was employed for 34 years with Krick Fire Protection located in Hyatsville, MD. After retiring, he was employed by Super Fresh in Lewes, DE before becoming ill.
Bud always enjoyed working first and foremost and then spent the rest of his time as a Die Hard Yankees fan, along with many other sports. He enjoyed his time spent with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Lynch) London of 52 years, his one daughter, Donna (London) Wilkinson and husband Charlie, his estranged son, Jeffrey Mark London and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Jason London and wife Samantha, Bryan London and wife Erin, Haley Wilkinson, Nicole and Jeff London, Jr. and he had the joy of two great-grandchildren, Kaliah and Aiden London. He is also survived by Darlene Franke (who was like a daughter) and his extended family and friends who will surely miss him.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 28th at Temple Beth Shalom, 1461 Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard, Arnold, MD 21012 (410-757-0552). A luncheon will follow immediately after at same location.
