Benjamin A. Sharp, Jr., 64 of Sarasota, FL and Milton, DE, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 in Delaware. He was born on December 8, 1955, son of Regina M. (Leskowski) Sharp of North Port, FL and the late Benjamin A. Sharp, Sr.
Ben was a retired driver for DHL Courier Company, having also worked for Schagrin Gas Company. He loved traveling with his wife Betty, especially on their yearly trips to Aruba. Always the beach person, Ben loved the winters at Siesta Beach in Sarasota, FL and the summertime beaches of Delaware. He loved the company of good friends and spending time with them at area restaurants for happy hour. Ben’s happiest times were spent working in his yard, riding bikes with his beloved Betty, and cruising in his sports car. He was also a proud veteran, honorably serving in the US Navy for four years. Above all, Ben cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted husband, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, Ben is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Elizabeth “Betty” A. (Zendrosky) Sharp; his step-sons: Paul Hysock (Michele) and Gregory Hysock; his grandsons: Paul John Hysock and Dean Hysock; his great grandchildren: Kaiden Hysock and Charlotte Hysock; his sister, Eileen Teague of Punta Gorda, FL; and his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
