I met Bayard just as a passerby on the boardwalk thanking him for his service as I noticed his Purple Heart hat & Sharp Purple outfit; and quickly realized he was a hero, with the brightest smile I have ever seen beaming from a human being.
I am thankful for all of the memories I have shared with such a special man.

Bayard- From your welcome home, to miss Delaware, our holiday visits, and every opportunity we’ve had to connect I am forever thankful for.

I’m thankful god put you in my life: I will forever try my hardest to emulate your passion for our military as I give back to other veterans and pursue a medical career working with veterans.

We lost a great person, however, God gained a true angel when you returned to heaven- I know you’re up there dancing with your beautiful wife!

Loved the time spent with Bayard and Cis in Rehoboth Beach home as well as in PA. He loved his wife and family. He had a nice laugh, smile and just plain enjoyed the company of others.
