Barry Eugene Perry Jr.'s Obituary
Barry Eugene Perry, Jr., 53, of Georgetown, DE, passed away on December 29, 2024, at Bay Harbor Post Acute Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 21, 1971, in Chambersburg, PA, to the late Barry Eugene Perry, Sr. and Lois Dianne (Weaver) Perry.
Barry was a 1990 graduate of Shippensburg High School and spent much of his career working as a mechanic, welder, and harness builder in the heavy equipment field. He took great pride in his work, always bringing dedication and craftsmanship to every project.
Outside of work, Barry’s true passions revolved around the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature, especially walking his beloved dog, Ginger. Barry’s greatest joy came from being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the best “sideline Pap,” attending every sporting event and cheering them on with his infectious smile and unwavering encouragement.
Barry was also a lover of music, long drives in the mountains, and traveling. He cherished trips to the beach with his wife, Tammy Jo, where he could fish while she swam—truly a match made in heaven. His sense of humor and radiant smile were just a few of the qualities he will forever be remembered by.
Barry is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Jo Perry; his children, Joshua H. Perry (Becky Forloine) of Winder, GA, and Tiffany A. Frey (Terry Frey) of Shippensburg, PA; his stepchildren, Ryane J. Sipes (Breanna) of Rogers, OH, Randi J. Beecher (Lee) of Newville, PA, and Ramie J. Sipes (Kendra) of Georgetown, DE; his grandchildren, Tabor Q. Frey, Torryn R. Frey, Lorelei Sipes, Aven Sipes, Zoey Sipes, Kayde Sipes, Deklyn Sipes, Raelee Holter, Kane Beecher, Teagan Beecher, Noa Beecher, Tristan Sipes, and Trinity Sipes; and his sisters, Renae Brenneman (Kelly) and Rachelle Davidson (John), both of Shippensburg, PA.
A private Celebration of Barry’s Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel.
