Barry E. Keller's Obituary
Barry E. Keller of Herminie, PA passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Beebe Medical Center, in Lewes, DE with his loving wife by his side. He was born August 28, 1936 in Arona, PA son of the Lewis and Mildred (Coy) Keller.
Barry graduated from Sewickley Twp. High School in 1954. He attended the Pittsburgh Technical Institute on scholarship graduating in 1956; upon graduation, he immediately began his career with U.S. Steel. He retired from New Jersey Steel, Sayreville, NJ in 1986. He was active as a coach and President of the Homewood Little League Baseball Organization, Homewood, IL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gloria A. (Prejza) Keller; three children: Mark Keller and his wife Gaye of Louisa, VA, Jill Bonneau of Prattville, AL, and Scott Keller and his partner Alan Shannon of Chicago, IL; three grandchildren: Scott Keller of Charlottesville, VA, Sarah Keller of Louisa, VA and Andrea Freitas and her husband Paul of Blackwood, NJ; two brothers-in-law Paul Prejza and his wife Deborah of Los Angeles, CA and Harry Prejza of Herminie, PA; sister-in-law Mary Trice of Richmond, VA; and a niece Julie Trice Doran of Glendale, CA.
A Memorial Service with Pastor Pam Power officiating will be held on Sunday, December 11, at 3:00 PM at the Brush Creek Lutheran Church, 177 Brush Creek Road, Irwin, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brush Creek Lutheran Church at the above address.
