I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection. Please allow God's Word to strengthen you and help you to endure this most difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear Barbara. She was a special online friend of mine. I "met" her through a message board for those who have experienced the loss of a child. She shared her emotions, experiences, thoughts, and wisdom as she grieved the loss of Amanda, and then the loss of her husband. I learned so much from her about facing grief, and about learning to live with grief. I will imagine that Barbara is enjoying time with Amanda, as well as with my little friend, and with the many other children from the loss message board. I am sure she is caring for them all and being "grandmother" to them. Thank you all for sharing Barbara with me. She will be missed, but always remembered.

Sending my deepest sympathies to all of you. Your mom/grandmother was a dear on-line friend of mine. I am so saddened to learn of her death. We bonded many years ago when she joined my parents bereavement support chat after Amanda earned her angel wings. We always talked about meeting in 'real life' but just never got around to it & that will remain a true regret of mine. Your mom was a very warm, resilient, kind, supportive, lady w/a great sense of humor and I'm so glad I got to know her even if it was only as an on-line email/chat buddy. I was so sorry to hear of Barbara's death. I always looked forward to her emails and ecards,etc. I remember well our fun high school days when she was Prom Queen and Homecoming Queen--she was so beautiful. She was one of our close friends and got me started being interested in cross stitch(one Christmas she came to "Club" with a cross stitch ornament for all of us). We had such good times. I know she had a very busy life with all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a special person and will be missed.

Mrs. Dera was a great girl scout leader for me and the girls of the Country Club Ridge Elementary School Troop. I have fond memories of her teaching us to primitive camp and many other useful skills. God blessed her with endless patience and kindness.
