I just found out of Barb's passing. We became best friends in high school and I was her maid of honor in her 1st marriage. The last I saw her she met me at my workplace in Baltimore. Although our lives moved us in different directions, she always had a special place in my heart. I can see from these memories that she touched many others also. Barb and I retired the same time from Beebe and I remember fondly the hours we spent trying to figure out the old Beebe time sheets. Dealing with all the different shifts and doing time by hand was not easy but Barb always had a ready smile and the “we’ll figure this mess out” outlook. We certainly did a lot of laughing over those time sheets. Send a smile down to us once in a while, we can use that wonderful attitude down here. Rest in peace, you will be missed.
It is and will be for quite some time surreal and numbing to have lost such a beautiful Aunt, Mother, Oma, sister, friend, and kind person with such a lively spirit. My selfishness wants her here with us to continue to be with her family and travel her multiple worldwide journeys and trips, but than reality sets in as she was called back for her biggest and best journey yet. Now I can only hope and pray that my cousins and my mom, their families, and everyone and anyone who was blessed to have been a part of Aunt Barb's life, even if brief can find comfort and peace knowing she is no longer suffering until we can all one day be reunited again. I know her spirit will live on forever in all the wonderful times and memories created. All the love, thoughts and prayers are with you all during this most difficult time and transition. XOXO
I worked with Barbara more then 10 years at Beebe Medical Center. I was surprised to hear of her passing. I remember her speaking of her children and speaking so proudly of her grandchildren. She loved to talk about her of traveling to the different places, and I was alway asking her questions about her adventures. She was a loving person. Sorry for your loss, but remember always, she loved all of you. May her love for you take you through every situation. You will forever be in my prayers, stand together and love one another. Our Matriarch is gone now and will be dearly missed. I will always look next door and remember her sitting outside and enjoying the wonderful setting which we all admired and the countless hours of conversations we had. She always looked after everyone and made sure that everyone was safe. Words cannot say how much my family and I will miss her.
