Barbara A. Hardy's Obituary
Barbara A. (Jones) Hardy, age 82, of Georgetown, DE, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2022, peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born August 17, 1940, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, daughter of the late Ernest & Cecilia Jones-Roberts.
After moving to Wilmington Delaware in 1952, she attended Conrad High school, then the Wilmington General Nursing school. She had a long career as an operating room Nurse at the Wilmington General and later Christiana hospitals. She and her husband John would later move to Georgetown, DE. Barbara had many hobbies, sewing, cooking, and knitting. She was a member of St, Jude the Apostle church. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by many.
Barbara was preceded by her beloved husband, John, and her parents. She is survived by her son, Ken (Eileen), grandchildren, Tim, Chris (Audra), Caitlyn & Taylor, great grandchildren, Loralei & Tilley, brother-in-law, Ed Hardy, and her sisters, Judy (Jim) Barger, Margie (Errol) Roberts, Erna (John) Bullock, Aileen Murray.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00AM. Interment will follow Mass at 1:00 PM at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.

Barbara enjoyed being on the sewing committee of her church, so in lieu of flower arrangements her family asks to please consider donations in Mrs. Hardy’s memory to the sewing committee of St Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, DE 19958.
