I feel sad as I am just learning of this now. I do have fond memories of Barb while working at Rustlers Steak House mid seventies. I smile thinking back on a party she had in her basement. I was trying to put “the moves” on her but could never get close. My prayers go out to all family and close friends as I know she will be greatly missed
Barb and I would meet regularly when she was in Baltimore staying at her Mom and Dad’s home which she eventually purchased. At first we shared our sorrow over Gloria and Sal’s passing (I had the privilege of serving with both of them on the Baltimore County Orphans’ Court) but eventually we became friends. She checked in on me regularly even after she sold the house on McFaul and stayed in Rehoboth. She was one of the bravest, upbeat people I’ve met. She was devoted to her family and friends. I was blessed to have had her in my life. Rest in peace Barbie!
Babs was always full of life and fun to be with. Whenever we were out and about in Rehoboth, we’d hear that bubbly voice and see that big warm smile, and say “Hey, that’s Babs!” The last time we were together, she gave us a big hug and said “See you next time!” , so here’s a big hug for you Babs, until next time.

Babs played with our Saturday morning women’s doubles tennis group at the Cape HS courts for the past 14 years. She was never on time but honked her car horn as she pulled into the parking lot to let us know she had arrived. She was always good for snarky remarks when she was playing with the serious players. Her signature tennis move was to throw down her racquet when she hit the ball and it either did not make it over the net or was out of bounds. She also would inspect the tennis balls for strange marks or dirt marks, would not serve those ball, made sure we knew the balls that were marked up and would immediately hit them over the fence. We all loved Babs and our Saturday morning tennis group will never be the same.

Around the time COVID started, Babs started playing with our outdoor Pickleball group in Vincent Overlook. She would keep us laughing. One of our favorite lines was when one of her balls was called, "out", she would reply "Are you sure?". She was known to throw down her paddle when she didn't like her shot. Debbie and I called her "the mayor" because whenever we attended an event, we couldn't walk more than a couple steps before Babs was going over to greet people she knew. Other fond memories are dinners together, taking the Ferry to Funny Farm animal rescue and an Indigo Girls concert. I will miss her terribly.
