Barbara Ann Brown, age 89 of Savannah, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at PruittHealth Seaside in Port Wentworth, GA. She was born on April 4, 1931 in Boston, MA, daughter of the late John and Ann Burbidge.
Mrs. Brown was an office manager, a homemaker, and a regional representative for Stonecraft Ministries. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and prayed at the Billy Graham Crusade in New Haven, CT in 1982. Mrs. Brown attended Bible study and enjoyed reading her Bible. She was a member of PEO and enjoyed volunteering as a mentor for MOPS, reading, taking walks on the beach, and watching the sunset each evening. Mrs. Brown cherished time spent with those she held most dear. She was a loving and devoted mother, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas S. Brown, in 2008. She is survived by her only daughter, Pamela Johnson (Charlie) of Savannah, GA; and her cousins: Bob Goodearl, Ken Goodearl (Nancy), Theresa Hanebury, and John Goodearl (Angela).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow the services at Bethel Methodist Cemetery, Savannah Road, Lewes, DE.
